The first day of spring began two weeks ago, but the weather has still been wet and cool overall. In fact, the month of March this year averaged colder than the previous two months of January and February. Many of you I'm sure are anxious for the spring warmth and the drier, sunnier weather. Well I got good news for you...

Warmer Weather

Beginning next week (week of April 9th), the weather pattern will quiet down and southerly winds will kick in. This translates to mostly dry and mild weather for most, if not all, of the week. Temperatures may rise up to twenty degrees above average.

In fact, the European model is hinting at multiple days of highs in the mid 70's around the mid-week period. This is a look at the temperature outlook for the next two weeks for Danbury, CT:

Our average high for this time of the year is in the mid 50's, so overall looking ahead to the next two weeks of April, it will be near-average or above average.

Drier Pattern

With this change in the pattern, that will also alter the storm tracks with a focus of the more active weather on the West Coast of the U.S.

Therefore, drier weather and below average precipitation can be expected for the next one to two weeks following this wet week.
