The Days Ahead

September 24, 2017

  Weather Forecast:

  Averages:

Sunday will be hot with a forecast high of 90 degrees under an ample amount of sunshine. We may break the record high of 87 degrees set in 1959! Humidity will be moderate so instead of it feeling like late-September, it will feel more like mid-July! It's also worth noting that winds will finally be calm after almost a week of consistent gusty winds from Jose.

It will still be warm and dry on Monday to begin next week with sunny skies and temperatures still over ten degrees above average. It's also going to be warm when you wake up with temperatures near 70 degrees.

On Tuesday, there is the slight chance for a shower or two but otherwise you can expect partly cloudy skies. By this time, we'll be watching Hurricane Maria, which will likely be just off the coast of the Outer Banks of North Carolina. It will likely track out to sea and not impact us, but whenever a hurricane gets relatively close we'll have to keep an eye on it.

Wednesday will be a little bit cloudier with clouds decreasing to sunshine as the day progresses. There is also the small chance for a shower. Temperatures will gradually cool down as the week progresses, but it will still be mild with a forecast high of 79 degrees for Wednesday.

On Thursday, it will be sunny and warm--A beautiful day to be outside and to admire the patchy fall foliage.

By Friday, the weather will remain gorgeous and dry, featuring sunny skies and temperatures maxing out just around 70 degrees.

We may cool down even further into the 60's on Saturday to begin next weekend. At least the sun will be out on Saturday with mostly sunny skies. Have a great weekend!
