Fall Outlook

Astronomical fall runs from September 21st through December 20th, and this year's fall is expected to be a relatively mild one. Temperatures overall are forecast to be above average and in terms of precipitation, there is an equal chance that the season ends up above average, below average, or average. Precipitation forecasts are always harder.

Temperature Forecast:
Again, above average temperatures are forecast for the season in general. During the rest of September, however, temperatures are expected to be below average. In July, temperatures should warm up to above average temperatures overall. I'm keep on mentioning the word, overall, because there will still be brief periods where we'll have cooler than average or average days. Then in August, above average temperatures are likely once again.

Precipitation Forecast:
In terms of precipitation, there aren't really any signals that are hinting at whether it will be a wet, dry, or average summer. This September, rainfall should actually be above average, possibly because of potential tropical systems. Then for the rest of the season like I mentioned before, there really is no signal indicating whether we'll have above or below normal precipitation.
