Groundhog Day Forecast

This Thursday is Groundhog Day, the day of when groundhogs across the country predict when the spring-like weather will begin. It's been a tradition for 131 years in Punxsutawney, PA where Phil the groundhog comes out of his home and makes his prediction for the months ahead. If Phil sees his shadow at 7:25AM, then there's six more weeks of winter. If the groundhog doesn't see his shadow, spring will arrive soon. In the past, the majority of Phil's predictions were six more weeks of winter, but even Phil isn't alway right!

This year, the forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies, cold conditions below freezing, and snow showers in the area of Punxsutawney, PA. If it is cloudy at the time of Phil's prognostication, then spring will arrive early! At least that's what we're forecasting.
