Very Welcome Rainfall Totals End of November

Much of November was a very dry month, but during the last couple days of the month getting into Thursday morning as we began the new month of December, we picked up lots of very much-needed rain.

In Bridgeport, we received 4.23" of rain in November, which is 0.84" above the average rainfall total of 3.39". This is very good news for the severe or extreme drought our entire area is currently still in.

Some places, like New York City, got in excess of three inches, which was the greatest amount of precipitation to fall in a confined period since the blizzard we experience earlier this year in January.
