Hermine: Labor Day Forecast

We are on day 18 of tracking this system ever since it was designated as Invest 99-L on August 18th. Now it's made it up to the Northeast coast, creating large waves, a significant rip current risk, and gusty winds.
This Labor Day, Hermine is expected to remain far enough offshore to give us little impact in our area. Gusty winds up to 40 mph are possible, especially along the coast, but the Tropical Storm Warning for our coast has been cancelled:

Expect times of sun and clouds as the outer cloud bands move through the area, which may contain a stray shower. It will also be nice and mild out with temperatures around 80 degrees:

Despite this, large waves will still occur in Long Island Sound, Mid-Atlantic coast, and Southeastern New England. Waves up to 15 feet are forecast along some coasts:

We will say goodbye to Hermine beginning Thursday as it moves further out to sea, according to most of the models and the National Hurricane Center's forecast cone:
