Hermine: Rough Surf and Strong Winds for East Coast

Post-Tropical Cyclone Hermine has weakened off the Northeast coast after making landfall near St. Marks, Florida as an 80 mph hurricane at 1:30AM ET Thursday night. This makes it the first landfalling hurricane in almost 11 years since Hurricane Wilma in 2005.

Post-Tropical Cyclone Hermine will move northwest for a couple days very slowly before it begins to accelerate northeast and out to sea Thursday.

Tropical Storm Warnings have been added to portions of Rhode Island and Massachusetts Sunday evening on top of the warnings that remain in effect from Delaware through Long Island and the Connecticut coast:

Lastly, not too much rain is expected as most of the storm stays offshore, so not too much flooding from the rain is expected.
