Monday ended up being a very hot day in the Northeast, specifically in the Mid-Atlantic where the storms moved in later in the day, allowing for temperatures to warm further.
Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, and Baltimore all tied record daily highs Monday. A couple of these cities even reached 100 degrees. In Washington, D.C., this was the first time the city accomplished the century mark since 2012.

More record highs may be broken this Tuesday, even a little closer to home, like in Bridgeport, CT. We're forecasting a high of 92 degrees, which is just one degree lower than the record high of 93 degrees set back in 2005.

Record highs may also be tied or broken in Boston, Hartford, and Islip, NY with high around then degrees above average.
