The Science Behind Cumulus Clouds

Cumulus clouds are puffy clouds that are seen in the lower cloud layer in the sky. The bottoms of these clouds are flat and white, but sometimes they can be seen darker, which means it contains more water, not allowing as much sunlight to go through.
This type of cloud forms when warm, moist air and water vapor rises, then cools and condenses, sometimes forming the cumulus cloud. These are one of the most common clouds. Now you know the science behind cumulus clouds.
