JACKSON'S WEATHER

Jackson's Weather was created in March of 2015 by our founder and editor, Jackson Dill. We focus on a very small, localized region, which is southwestern Connecticut, when forecasting the weather, which often makes for more accurate forecasts than you find on other websites and on TV.

You can always rely on us for weather forecasts to start your day and to look ahead to the future as we update the seven-day forecast everyday almost throughout the whole year. We provide detailed forecasts here online as well as updates throughout the day on our social media accounts. You'll also find our exclusive ClothingCast that we developed, which prepares you with the top three things you need to wear to battle the elements. In the winter, we also have our school predictions, showing you what we think will happen in terms of having a snow day, delay, or early dismissal from school.

JACKSON DILL

Founder and President

Jackson is the proud founder and president of his local website, Jackson's Weather. He makes his own forecasts, originating from the models that professional meteorologists use.

Ever since Hurricanes Irene and Sandy back in 2011 and 2012 respectively, Jackson became very fascinated in weather. He was amazing by how such a powerful storm can form and cause so much damage. From this moment through today, he has been obsessed with weather, constantly analyzing the models and making forecasts as well as watching meteorologists deliver the weather on television.

Jackson loves hot, sunny days but could always be up for a summer thunderstorm or blockbuster snowstorm. He also gets very excited by hurricanes because that is what got him interested in meteorology. He also loves taking photos of the weather and the clouds, such as the photograph above.

Along with being the Founder and President of Jackson's Weather, he is currently the meteorologist for GOOD Morning Wilton, the social media director for the very-popular app, Hurricane Tracker, and the COO and Head of Forecasting and Content at WeatherOptics.

Jackson will be majoring in Meteorology and Broadcast Journalism and minoring in Mathematics at the University of Miami starting in the fall of 2018.

JACKSON'S WEATHER IN THE NEWS

Wilton Magazine

"Jackson Dill is obsessed with weather. This 15-year-old WHS sophomore launched an eponymous weather site (jacksonsweather.com), utilizing the same models used by the pros. His favorite type of weather? “Sunshine.” Favorite type of extreme weather? “Hurricane.” A successful meteorlogical career lies in this young man’s future."

Wilton Bulletin

"After Hurricane Irene and Superstorm Sandy, rising Wilton High School junior Jackson Dill developed a fascination with weather."

Wilton Daily Voice

"Wilton High School’s Jackson Dill didn’t wake up one day thinking he’d start his own weather forecasting website: It was a natural progression of his interest in meteorology."

GOOD Morning Wilton

"A little over a year ago, we debuted a weekly weather forecast from an unlikely source–a then-16 year old Wilton High School student named Jackson Dill. Each week he helps Wilton residents find out what’s in store and whether they need to take along the trusty umbrella. He also has his own weather website called, appropriately, Jackson’s Weather."

Connecticut Post

"Ever since Hurricanes Irene and Sandy, Jackson Dill has been captivated by weather and the impact it has on the world. He witnessed this firsthand during the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy in 2012, when his family’s home in Wilton lost power for seven days. “I was fascinated by these big storms and how strong they were, and how they could change people’s lives,” said Dill, a senior at Wilton High School."'
